Head, Office for Economy, Canton of Zurich

After completing his studies in geography and economics at the University of Zurich, 40-year-old
Dr Fabian Streiff initially worked as a consultant in the fields of strategy development,
sustainability issues and business development, before completing his doctorate in economic
geography and regional development at the University of Bern.

He then headed the Economic Development in Basel-Stadt before working as Director of
Healthcare Innovation / Day one at BaselArea.swiss. From 2021 to 2023, Dr Fabian Streiff was
responsible for the Economic Development of the Canton of Zurich and since January 1, 2024,
he has been leading the Office for Economic of the Canton of Zurich.
