Aldo Faisal

Prof. Dr. Aldo Faisal is Professor at the Dept. of Computing and the Dept. of Bioengineering at Imperial College London. He also holds a Chair in Digital Healthcare at the University of Bayreuth (Germany). He was awarded a prestigious UKRI Turing AI Fellowship and is the Founding Director of the UKRI Centres in AI for Healthcare and the AI Centre in Digital Health. For his research at the interface of Machine Learning and Medicine for which he has received numerous prizes and awards. He serves as an advisor to national governments and their regulatory bodies and is one of the few AI researchers to lead their own clinical trials to validate their technology from algorithm-to-bedside. In 2024 the German Parliament elected him as first computer scientist and engineer to the German Ethics Council.
