Lucia Velasco

Lucia Velasco is a digital economist and Senior Advisor to the UN Under-Secretary-General and Tech Envoy, leading global AI policy at the UN Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies. She previously held senior roles in the Spanish government and at the World Economic Forum, and is affiliated with the Oxford Martin School and the Maastricht School of Economics. She also serves as an independent expert for the European Commission and the OECD, is the author of a book, and co-chairs GPAI’s Future of Work stream.
