Marta Janczarski

Marta Janczarski is active in the AI governance space, having worked as a AI and data advisor on behalf of the Standards Council of Canada for Canadian innovators from industry, academia as well as the public sector. As a Canadian expert to the international technical committee on AI standards, JTC 1/SC 42, she has recently been elected as the project editor for the first conformity assessment standard in this space, AI Management System Standard, ISO/IEC 42001. Her background is in the sciences, having studied genomics and worked in clinical research in metabolism and psychiatry, and transitioned into working on first time registration of pharmaceuticals for GlaxoSmithKline. She is also a guest lectured at universities on governance frameworks in innovation, as well as an instructor in the Post Graduate Regulatory Affairs Program at Algonquin College.
