Niniane Paeffgen

Niniane Paeffgen is the Managing Director at the Swiss Digital Initiative (SDI). Launched in September 2019 by digitalswitzerland and under the patronage of Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer, the initiative aims to advance practice-oriented ethics in the digital age through specific projects. The initiative’s first flagship project is the development of a Digital Trust Label.

Her past industry experience includes leading the project pillar “Politico-Economic Environment” at digitalswitzerland, and working in the Security Council Affairs Division at the United Nations.

Niniane is a member of the WEF Global Shapers Community, the Swiss Think Tank on Foreign Policy (foraus) and the Davos Digital Council. She holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Governance from the University of St. Gallen.
