Wei Zhang
Assistant Resident Representative UNDP, China
Wei ZHANG has been a transformative leader for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in China since 2004. With over 19 years of experience with the UNDP, she is currently the Assistant Resident Representative in China, where she drives innovation, strategic partnerships, and advocacy initiatives. Her major contributions include establishing the SPARK SDG Innovation Lab, advocating for responsible AI policy and governance, promoting gender equality, and leading advocacy and partnerships on climate action and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Wei holds Masters degrees in Journalism and Latin American Studies from Stanford University. She also holds a Bachelor's degree from Beijing Foreign Studies University.
