Our Managing Partner represented RegHorizon at the GESDA 2025 Summit in Geneva, moderating a fireside chat on “Beyond Human and Machine Intelligence.”
The session brought together Prof. Herman Cappelen (The University of Hong Kong) and Dr. Matthias Troyer (Microsoft Quantum) for a rigorous discussion on how we live and work with systems we do not fully understand and what that means for responsible innovation, ethics, and policy. The conversation bridged philosophy, frontier science, and real-world deployment, echoing RegHorizon’s mission to connect innovation, ethics, and regulation.
Alongside the session, the team engaged with leaders across science, diplomacy, and policy, including Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Alexandre Fasel, and ETH Zurich President Michael Hengartner.
A clear takeaway: in addition to sound governance, we need anticipatory science and diplomacy to steward emerging technologies.
