The Council of Europe Expert Group: Advancing Responsible AI

No alternative text description for this imageRegHorizon is pleased to share our Managing Partner, Ayisha Piotti, joined the Council of Europe’s expert group in Strasbourg to deepen work on how AI systems can be aligned with human rights, democracy, and the rule of law.  A particular focus was the Council of Europe’s HUDERIA methodology and platform, alongside the COBRA (Context-Based Research Assessment) tool designed to help practitioners identify contextual risk factors across the AI lifecycle and map potential adverse impacts in real deployment settings.

The exchange reinforced three implementation priorities: simplified tools that work in real environments, a shared cross-sector vocabulary that reduces fragmentation, and stronger coordination and capacity-building in practice.

RegHorizon is grateful to the Council of Europe Secretariat for the invitation and to the expert community for the substantive engagement, and looks forward to continuing collaboration on these frameworks.
