Witnessing Microsoft’s $400 million investment in Switzerland’s digital future!

Our Managing Partner, Ayisha Piotti, attended a distinguished gathering in Bern, where Microsoft announced a $400 million investment in Switzerland’s digital future.

The event highlighted Switzerland’s unique balance of trust, freedom, and responsibility, its world-class research institutions, dynamic tech scene, robust public sector support, and exceptional talent—all positioning the country to lead in AI transformation.

Microsoft President Brad Smith introduced new European Digital Commitments, directly addressing digital sovereignty for Switzerland and Europe, and emphasized Microsoft’s expanded partnership with the United Nations in Geneva to harness AI and innovation for humanitarian causes.

A panel led by Microsoft Switzerland, with leaders from ETH Zürich, Switzerland Innovation, and Bühler Group, underscored that sustainable growth depends on spreading technology across the economy, and that combining classic education with apprenticeship programs is key to meeting future reskilling needs—a Swiss tradition that offers valuable lessons for the world.
